WHEN TO VISIT THE EMERGENCY ROOM

You have in-and-out-of-network Emergency Department coverage. Emergency Departments are not for routine healthcare needs or treatment of common conditions. Healthcare providers in the Emergency Department are likely not familiar with your medical history and are going to be focused on your immediate symptoms, not your long-term wellness.

The Emergency Department is an important resource if you are experiencing an emergency, but visiting the ER for routine or non-emergency needs can result in higher out-of-pocket costs than visiting a primary care provider or urgent care.
