Is a flu shot right for you?
The CDC recommends everyone age 6 months and older get a flu shot. This is especially true if you are at a higher risk for severe symptoms. You may be at a higher risk if you are in one of the following groups:
- Babies and young children
- Pregnant people
- Adults age 65 years and older
- People with chronic health conditions such as asthma, heart disease or hypertension, diabetes, autoimmune illnesses, or cancer
For more information, visit the CDC website.
Thinking about getting your flu shot and a COVID-19 vaccine around the same time?
The Association of American Physicians and the CDC advise that a flu shot and a COVID-19 vaccine can be administered at the same time or close together. There is no recommended wait time in between vaccinations.
Please note, Spira Care does not currently offer COVID-19 vaccines. However, we’d be happy to help you find a convenient option if you’re interested in getting vaccinated.
