Appointment Options: Our Care Teams have a variety of ways to see members – including in-person, by phone, or through a video appointment. Call 913-29-SPIRA (77472) to talk about the kind of care you need and the type of appointment that works best for you.
Appointment Screenings: At an acute or same day appointment, you’ll be screened for COVID-19 symptoms such as cough, shortness of breath/difficulty breathing, fever, chills, muscle pain, sore throat, and loss of taste or smell.
Accompanying Guests: At this time, patients are only allowed to have a guest accompany them if the patient is a minor or the guest is a patient advocate and has permission from the provider. This guest must be screened, documented in the member’s chart, wear a mask and remain in the exam room with the member. Guests will not be permitted to wait in the lobby.
Covid-19 Symptoms: If you’re experiencing mild or severe COVID-19 symptoms call 913-29-SPIRA (77472) to talk with a triage nurse about your symptoms and discuss next steps, including a telehealth appointment with a provider and/or testing options. We have a dedicated team to help members with COVID-19 care needs.
We want you to know that we’re doing everything possible to safeguard you and your family when you visit a Care Center. That includes following CDC guidelines for COVID-19. Here are the steps we’re taking to protect you during your appointment.
Masks for everyone: All members, vendors, and Care Team staff must wear a cloth or surgical mask at all times. If you don’t have a mask, we’ll provide you with one.
Social Distancing: Floor decals and chair spacing reinforce social distancing (6 feet apart).
Frequent Cleaning: On top of our standard cleaning protocols, all frequently-touched surfaces and objects are cleaned and disinfected multiple times a day.
Staff Precautions: All staff are tested by a Symptom Tracker before working in the Care Center and must wear personal protection equipment (PPE) as necessary to ensure their safety and the safety of patients.
Exam Room Precautions: Exam rooms now include movable screens and are left unused for at least 60 minutes after certain procedures for air-recirculation.
The best way to avoid illness is to avoid exposure to the virus. Here are some tips to keep yourself, your loved ones, and your community safe.
Frequently wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or use hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. Avoid touching your eyes, face, and mouth.
Avoid close contact with people who are sick, even inside your home. Outside your home, stay at least 6 feet from other people.
The CDC recommends wearing cloth face coverings in public settings where other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain.
